I get it. It often comes down to finances at the end of the day.

Unlike most people I'm going to talk openly about money because I understand that it's often a major deciding factor for you and a potential concern for anyone considering their help options.

I want to start with a story if I may. It's about when I first went to see a therapist to see if they could help me... Next

At the time I was flat broke and lost. I asked the therapist if we could do the sessions and I him pay later. He firmly said to me:

"Look Seb, if you really want to do something you find a way. Everybody finds a way to do the things they want to do. Come back to me when you're ready."

Initially I thought this was quite harsh and I felt deflated. Determined however, I went away and found a job and signed myself up for as much overtime as I could get. I didn't realise it at the time but the therapy had already started. His words instilled in me the idea that if I wanted to take control of my life, I had to take action and actually take control of my life. Next

A few years later - feeling like a different person - I was sitting on a tube in London. A girl next to me was talking to her friend about how panic attacks were ruining her life. She mentioned that she'd heard of a guy who claimed to be able to treat panic attacks and that he charged £100 per session. She told her friend she decided against it because it was too expensive.

In the next sentence she started talking about how she wanted a new laptop. I thought to myself, "Hang on. You want an expensive laptop that will break in a couple of years, yet you think a few hundred quid to change your life is too much!" I often wonder how she's doing now and if she went for the laptop. Next

Like you I have bills to pay, and I value the time and effort I've put into creating something meaningful to benefit people's lives. That said, I still remember those early days and I was keen to make a system that is more accessible to people.

I charge £60 per session and usually work to 1 session a week. Sessions can however be space at 2 or 3 week intervals to suit your circumstances. Not only that, but Sequential Psychotherapy is designed to be broken down into 3 session blocks, with a small space in between so that you can implement and integrate the things we do in the sessions. A few people resolve their problem in 3 sessions, some people do it in 6. Others require 9, 12, 15, or more, but it depends entirely on the work we need to do to get you to where you want to be. Next

The beauty of Sequential Psychotherapy is that every session is designed with the intention of helping you make tangible progress towards your goal - no messing around! Give me a shout if you want to join me for a brew and talk about what's going on. This is what a lovely lady had to say about her experience (I promise I didn't pay her to say this):

"I'm excited by life again and absolutely wouldn't have achieved that without Seb's help. His mixture of science fact, interesting insights, straight-talking, and down-to-earth style was exactly right. If you've got as far as his website I strongly suggest booking a consultation; it really will be the best thing you've done for yourself. He really is a fantastic therapist who exceeded all my expectations and demolished all my preconceived notions of how awful therapy would be!"
